Its not in that bad of shape overall but there's nothing up there, and no reason to go up there and risk going all over the ground... The bridge at Jackass Flats needs ties too- Hasn't been a locomotive up there for at least 15-20 years, to my knowledge. Motorcar clubs come up and run the full line a couple times a year though.
