Santa Monica Airline ROW west of Culver City

All this talk of old LA locals got me to drive home a different route yesterday in order to head up along the part of the Santa Monica Branch (or SM Airline) that hasn't been turned into Metro Rail yet. They have cut quite a huge swath on much of it (not the whole way). Around Westwood it looks like you could run three, maybe four tracks.

Only thing I cannot figure out is what they are going to do on the more western end of Santa Monica. They have torn down some building north of the ROW in the 20th Street area, but west of that I'm wondering if they're going to skip the ROW and use Colorado?
