Winslow photos
All,
The above link is to my latest visit at Winslow Junction, the second weekend in a row to photograph a once-hot spot for the CNJ, PRR, and RDG railroads.
I was caught off guard when arriving – in the last week a second locomotive has been scrapped, this time MLW M420 #3579. The very last image is how I saw it in July of 2009, last weekend it was in the same position, just more overgrown by nature. Now all that remains is small parts scattered about its motor block.
Last week the Alco still had trucks and a frame – it also is just a diesel motor on the dirt now.
I hope Susie Q’s RDC and the pair of F-units stick around…
Enjoy,
Matthew
