They Are Not E9s

As railfans why do we call them E9s when they are something like a GP38-2s in an E9 shell? They do not have two prime movers. Their electronics is modern, nothing like an E9's.

The reason is obvious -- reliability. UP's mechanics anywhere on its system know modern technology, not 1950s technology. Spare parts are in every parts depot.

So what should we call them? E9Ms? E38-2s? Beautiful gals?
