GN Day in Sky Agenda

The GN Day in Skykomish agenda has been set for the September 8th event. The program starts at 9:30 am in the Skykomish Masonic Hall. Doors open at 8:30. Admission is Free.
In the morning there will be informational updates about Sky, the 7.5 inch gauge GN Cascade Railway, Sky depot refurbishment, new Sky models in work and a Date That Sky Picture Contest. Also, people can set up displays for all to view. After lunch Cordell Newby will present an overview of the GN Electrification in the Cascades and there will be a Show and Tell. The last events of the afternoon will be a Tour of the Sky Depot and GN Cascade Railway that is planning to be under live steam.
We will order lunch from a local business or bring your own. People attending are encouraged to bring items to display on tables we provide. Show and Tell will be a time when anyone can take part, so plan to have a story or bring an item of interest to share. If you have a photo of Sky that needs to be dated, local experts will assist. During the day the four Skykomish HO scale models will be available at a discount to people attending.
