Actually I am, but only within the context of museums. It's simply the nauseating amount of railfan internet traffic these days that centers around gaudy heritage units and the endless parade of steam with diesels with rainbow passenger cars. It seems in the last decade or so, the "staged photo" has become its OWN subset of railfan photography whereas before, the odd photo of a museum lineup would have been a curiosity, nothing more.

But in this age of easy, fake digital nonsense, I wouldn't expect anything more. With that being said, I would rather spend the next forty years feasting my eyes upon the tangible, analog, historical and RELEVANT photos and essays of the likes of Drew Jacksich, Tom Moungovan and the ineffable Key Route Ken, just to name a few on this board. The links to our past are the ONLY true key to a brighter future...
