Robby this unit SP 4404 was listed for sale by the Portola Railroad museum. Their news letter said the board approved a sales contract for SP SD9 4404 for $35,000. Also for sale was SP SDP9 4450. I heard a railroad museum in Arizona was interested in the 4450 but it has wheel problems, making rail transportation a problem. Also the Golden Gate RR museum just got a donation of a EMD 16 cylinder 567c engine and main generator for their F unit the SP 6380. Perhaps one of these units got parted out???????
