Only on the BNSF do you have such great expidited moves like this! This is called getting the trains out of the Terminal without delay! I have seen this for years. Get the trains out of the Terminal, even if they only go a few miles and then if there is delay, it is called a "meet or pass" rather then "Terminal Delay". Less penaltys (in all respects) this way. One of the things that always fascinated me was when you would get a Dispatcher or Tower Operator that was always thinking about and looking for ways to keep all traffic moving, using all available tracks/routes. That is railroading at its best you know.
