There was one, possibly two, at the Coolwater Ranch about 12 or so years ago. They were owned by the guy (in Daggett) that purchased a caboose and hooked up a motor to the alternator bracket to move it back and forth on a piece of track. I am trying to remember but one of the phone booths was placed on top of a container, or boxcar, at the east end of His property. One of the booths, I was told, was the Daggett phone booth.
I "acquired" the window and frame of the Cajon booth shortly before it disappeared years ago. I have been trying for years to track down a vertical color enlargement of an approaching red f-unit. I would like to display it as a "frame" as though You are looking out of the window at an approaching Chief if You were in the booth looking out. No, I have not removed the aging paint. Any help anyone on a color print? I can supply the dimensions.
