I guess you haven't seen the north-south interstates lately. There's plenty of freight traffic. But it's all going by highway. EwePee doesn't want the business - they're rich enough without it - to much work. Besides, short haul (1000 miles or less) ain't worth it for the UP - makes a dandy profit, but not as much as the easier to manage unit trains and double stacks do. Actually, those are easier to manage, only because somebody else actually does most of the managing.
So they stuck their grubby little fingers up their customer's noses - Swift's included. Now the public gets to enjoy all those trucks on the road. Ain't the EwePee the grandest railroad of all - - - cough cough - - - Useless and Pathetic
