As a side light, the photo does show that 4449 does not need a diesel to travel up the Trunk. This last weekend the Amtrak unit was for headend power. The 2002 picture was the last trip where
Amtrak was not involved and we were able to use the power car from the Montana Daylight train. If someone has an Amtrak certified power car we would certainly entertain using it on future trips.
