WOW !!! What a mess... The wife and I, along with the daughter & son - in - law, were in NYC just one month ago, for a wedding in East Queens and 2 days of sightseeing. We rode the subway quite a bit, from Jamaica into Manhattan as well as down to Battery Park. Even on the weekend the lines were well - used; I can not imagine how the commuters will cope with the almost total lack of transit options now.
