Seeing the post earlier of cars stored on the W&I line reminded me that I had spotted a large number of well cars stored on the BNSF Big Sandy Subdivision SSW of Havre while traveling through the area in mid-September. There appeared to be about 7.3 miles worth of mostly 40-foot cars, as well as a few 48-footers, stored on a ten mile section of track just north of Big Sandy, which is the south end of the track. Interestingly, there was a hy-rail on the line about 3 miles north of the end of the last string at Milepost 15, which is 15 miles from Pacific Junction. I'm thinking this is the largest string I have seen outside of the one just north of Centralia, Washington along I-5.
