Repeating the story as it was told to me -- Many years ago the UP local that worked Champion Lumber on the Santa Fe called into the DS to leave and was told that they would have to wait for awhile as there were trains ahead of them. Something changed, and the DS called them back to tell them they could move. But there was no answer. Eventually, the train finally responded and explained that they had gone to get a cheeseburger for lunch. From that time on, the ATSF DS called the job the Cheeseburger Local.
