TRAC / SDERA Sprinter Excursion - Sunday - Join us for the first through train!

The Train Riders Association of California (TRAC) and the San Diego Electric Railway Association(SDERA) are having an excursion this Sunday in conjunction with the annual TRAC Conference in San Diego on Saturday. This is the first public run of the entire, yet-to-be-opened Sprinter line from Oceanside to Escondido and return. Full details can be found at:

YOU CAN RIDE TOO - BE ONE OF THE FIRST! Over one hundred people pre-registered. However, we have learned that a second light-rail unit will be along for back-up, so we have room for many a more!
If you'd like to go, be in Oceanside by 10:30 for the 10:40 departure. Convenient Surfliner schedules bring you in before departure from both the north and the south. Bring $20 cash or check made out to SDERA (suggested donation), or $30 if you'd also like a box lunch from a Mexican Restaurant in Escondido. Please note we will be travelling slowly over much of the route due to signals being in test mode, and that there will be no facilities while en route, which could be up to two hours (so don't drink a lot of coffee).
Tickets are being handled by SDERA as a fundraiser for projects of both SDERA and TRAC. The public run is being run courtesy of North County Transit District.

Note: Tickets can also be picked up in person at the TRAC Conference at the Caltrans building at 4050 Taylor Street in Old Town San Diego between 9am and 6pm today (Saturday). Ask the guard at the entrance for Jeff Trimble of SDERA.
