Not sure how current this news is, but yes, the WCTU was up for sale. It is down to only two employees as timber industry carloadings are (as you'd expect) nearly nil. The single largest shipper is Willamette Egg Farm. They receive covered hoppers of chicken feed that is transloaded in White City to their egg farm about five miles north.

Our NRHS chapter was informed that the owners of WCTU were to look for, if possible, unloading the railroad to a non-profit group for possible transfer of operation. We submitted a proposal since we have an operating locomotive stored in White City, but I never heard if we received a reply. The last thing I heard was that the Modoc Railroad Academy might be getting it.
