The 24/7 security is to keep the imbeciles from tagging the train and vandals from entering and damaging the cars. The only road to the site is on private property and the property owner aggressively enforces no trespassing. It is also a work area and safety gear is required along with permission from SC&MB to enter.
I thought the big animal costumes were great.
