True enough that they ARE ruining California, and a handful of other states as well, and the Federal Gov't, and the military, and...... But I'm not sure that the word "idiot" is the best word to describe them.

Considering the persistence of this country's slide, into political and moral incivility, and economic hell over the last twenty or so years (and four Presidents). it would be hard to believe it just happened for no reason. Yeah - it actually started around the time of the last rounds of banking deregulation in the mid nineties. These people are smarter than you think. You just have to understand their motives better.

Just what to you think will be the natural result: If they can drive down real wages (inflation adjusted wages are already less than half of a 1975 wage); explode the future inflation rate by printing lots of funny money, thus driving real wage down even further; jack the tax rate high enough, especially on the job makers (sharp tax increases WILL be levied on all of us too - not just the rich).

Well, they think it too! Indeed, the so-called fiscal cliff, already was signed into law by this President some time ago. Why do you suppose he did that if he thought it such a bad idea, as he now claims? Was he being stupid then, or disingenuous now? And for what will he let us off that hook - only the "re-distribution of Wealth", that he says he wants so bad.

The consequence of all this "idiocy" is obvious to all. Ultimately and progressively, none of us will be able to afford a damn thing on our own! Thus we WILL be FORCED into dependence upon government for virtually all our needs - upon the very government that THEY control. Simple as that!

As to our wants? They will largely go unmet. The ruling class will decide for us, because we are dependent upon the government they control; what we get to have and what we don't; where we get to live and where we don't; where we travel and where we don't; the jobs we get and those we don't; and via control of healthcare, whether we get medical treatment, or we don't.......

So why are they are doing it? Not idiocy - PURE GREED FOR POWER !

So since these politicians have fooled enough of the people enough of the time, that they are succeeding quite handily - you can't exactly say they are stupid. It is on purpose - not because of any idiocy, that they trash our states and nations, and our traditional institutions. And as long as a majority of the people remain lulled to sleep, or are otherwise the product of a failed education system, they will continue to fool enough of us. (Gee - I wonder why the schools got dummied down!)

And who are "They"? Well, just consider the fact that this persistent slide into hell on a banana peel, has accelerated unabated through Bush, Clinton, Bush and Obama. None of these Presidents nor their stooges, have acted much different from the others on any issue. They only pretend to be liberal or pretend to be conservative. People are not always what they seem! And none of these actually were, or are.

And lest you think this sort of strategy to gain power, is some new figment of imagination; It was written down deadly serious, over one hundred years ago; and much expounded upon ever since by subsequent writers. I read about it in Karl Marx's Manifesto. And before you go shoot the messenger, go see for yourself!

It is real - and power mongering politicians ("exploiticians") are very real. They are the norm now! As good men and women are driven away by the filth, smear, and disgust in modern politics; all that are left are the corrupt power mongers.

The future doesn't look good for any part of life - let alone our hobbies!
