It was my understanding that #8 would continue from St. Anthony via the BNSF to Hoffman Ave., then back in. When station work is complete, it would head out to Hoffman Ave. and continue on. #7 would head in from Hoffman Ave. When done, it would back out to Hoffman Ave., then go west. The BNSF routing is shorter, faster, and is CTC terriory. By doing this, you eliminate involvement with the Minnesota Commercial Railroad (this is who owns the tracks at the current station) all saving time and money. However, there was a RUMOR awhile back that the FRA had been told about this future daily occurence, and they did not like it. We shall see.
