Gary,
UP restricted the Santa Cruz Branch Line to cars with a gross weight of 268,000 lbs or less. The plan for 2013 is to rehabilitate and/or repair the bridges to safely support 286,000 pound railcars at a reasonable operating level. I see SP 2472 weighs 297,800 lb. Unless the bridges are upgraded for a higher loading, it looks like SP 2472 will not be able to operate on the branch line.
