The girls are gorgeous, but the picture raises some rail related questions. First of all the red (faded to pink)paint with white end stripes is obviously from the Colorado's Great Western. I am well familiar with another unit formerly in this paint scheme, ex Lake County GP7 1617.
I started my search at the Feather River Rail Society, based on the caption on Rod's picture and came up with this page
705 enroute to FRHS
The caption states that these are Hooter girls and the picture was taken in Cheyenne WY where ex WP GP7 is enroute to its new home at FRHS.
Now, about that steam locomotive that appears in Rod's picture. Cheyenne is a big hint. Not much to go on except the left side firebox and boiler details. I dug up a couple of 3985 pictures on "rrpicturesarchives.net".
UP 3985 at Vincennes IN, 11/28/1992 and
UP 3985, St Louis MO 12/4/1992, so it seems pretty obvious that the steam loco is UP 3985.
