Looks like the air brake hoses weren't connected because the trailing cars don't appear to have their emergency brakes applied --- ever. The cars just keep on coming. Of course, that makes for a much better wreck.

I liked the train wreck in the movie "The Fugitive" with Harrison Ford. They used a real train on a shortline in North Carolina.

There's a good (and real) cornfield meet with some narrow gauge equipment in the movie "Denver & Rio Grande."
