I used to pickup & deliver tooling at H & H Plastics, on the UP Harbor Sub at Compton Blvd. H & H was once Mattel Toys' biggest plastic molding plant in SoCal, and they received many carloads of plastic pellets via UP. The plant was packed up and shipped to Mexico,( minus one molding machine that fell off the flatbed and rolled down a canyon somewhere in Baja !!! ), a victim of rising electrical rates and the SCAQMD Smog Nazis. The buildings were quite run - down in the early 1980's, so I doubt they are still standing now.
