The Mars Signal Light Co. made several different types of warning lights, including an oscilating " Cyclops " Red warning light used on fire apparatus, notably LA County & Orange Co, CA. fire trucks, in the late 1950's to early 1960's. Just as in railroad use, the many moving parts made them a maintenance issue.
