It is my understanding that all future work on the three steam engines will be done in the new facility at East Portland.

With the loss of the old Brooklyn Roundhouse facilities for such work are few and far between.

While the new facility is visitor friendly, one must not lose sight of the primary function of the Heritage Center is to preserve and maintain these treasures.
