Bruce, thanks for sharing this article. It's just astounding how wide spread and emotional these NIMBY's are. I work in the mining industry digging holes in the ground to extract metals so the NIMBY's can have automobiles, cell phones, computers, houses, roads, TV and all the other things of our modern world. However mining is a horrible and dirty industry according to the NIMBY's. I wonder if the Sierra Club or any of the other save the world groups have gone to China to convince them to stop burning coal? Another observation, I wonder how long it will be until these NIMBY's figure out about all of the other dirty nasty products being transported through their cities? When they figure this out they'll be wanting to shut down the truckers and the railroads. What a crazy world we live in!
