Northwest Coal Port Coverage on TV

Caught this last night on Spokane public TV. Apparently first aired in October.

Overall, a pretty balanced look at both sides of the debate. The most serious flaw I noticed is where they repeat the often-cited inflated figures of 50 to 60 new coal trains per day through Spokane. No way this could happen given current capacity.

After examining Cherry Point, Longview, and even paying a dusty visit to the surroundings of Roberts Bank, they look at the Boardman/Port of Morrow barge proposal and come to the same conclusion many of us already have. POM has the best chance of moving forward.
