If you really don't know already...this past summer Korean pop artist Psy released a song and video titled "Gaghnam Style" that became an immediate hit all across the U.S., despite the fact the song is entirely in Korean save for the line "Heeey, Sexy Lady". The video has, as of this evening, been viewed 1.2 BILLION times on Youtube...here is the link...

The video, and especially the catchy dance performed throughout the video, have seemed to permeate into almost every aspect of American pop culture in the last six months.

The Amtrak-Ganghnam Style, and the NASA version, are two of many, many spoofs of the song and video that have been done. Thank you for the links- I needed to laugh that hard tonight.

For me, the longest association I will have to the song will be to the San Francisco Giants 2012 season- the team started running the video and the song on their big billboard and sound system in the late innings of every home game. Amazing sight to see 40,000+ people doing the dance together...knocked the socks off the Fox broadcasters during the playoffs. The Giants broadcasters- especially Dave Flemming and Jon Miller- joined in as well...
