Metrolink has re-aligned and double tracked alot of that line. It's almost unrecogizable now. One of my all time favorite movies. It shaped my career. That SP footage is gold. Useless non railroad trivia; Two Peterbilt 281s were used, a '55 was used in the original television version and a'60 was used for the additional footage (the school bus scene, most noteably) for the later theatre release. If you look carefuly, the '55 has a horizontal air cleaner and the '60 has the standard vertical air cleaner.
