BNSF To Vancouver, BC

Upon talking to a customer of mine, it appears that BNSF is finally upgrading the trestle across Mud Bay between Crescent Beach and Colebrook. His company was just awarded the contract to piledrive the footings for this project, as well as the River Road overpass of the BNSF further along in Delta - part of the SFPR Project.

Anyways, this guy says that the new trestle will be built along-side the current one, and once replaced, the old trestle will be rebuilt to match the replacement, making one of the trestles a siding running from the north end of Crescent Beach to Colebrook. This capacity would allow long trains (likely intermodal) to start running from DeltaPort by my understanding. This would be the only justification to why the BNSF would even consider having a siding in such a difficult place. The current traffic on this line does not justify such an endeavour...

Can anyone confirm this?
