An autorack passes thru the area more than what I think you see although I think the overall traffic levels are slowly down a bit more. A bigger question to be answered is what is to happen to those businesses out on Mare Island that are being impacted by the land developer who seems to have a distaste for any RR operations on the land. I surely don't see any houses springing up on the land, so why boot out a RR operation and directly impact those customers needing rail service?

It's bad enough in Vallejo with the city financial problems including this very rough economy, but to not step in with some oversight is just plain suicide! Just letting the developer do whatever they want to doesn't do the city's image any good in trying to "woo" other or existing businesses to come to Vallejo much less stay there.
