They aure were! Got to ride one back in 1979 on an
Amtrak trip in 1979, San Jose-Portland. Loved those
swivel seats! On the return trip, for some reason that
car was placed in front of the baggage car, so no access
to it. :(

The railroads really knew how to design great passenger
cars back in the day.!
