When service started in October 1992, trains only ran as far as Pomona and there was only three inbound AM trips and three outbound PM trips if I remember correctly.
By November 1993, service had been extended to San Bernardino/Rialto. Since the flyover in San Bernardino hadn't been completed yet, Santa Fe Railway only allowed three AM inbound trains and three PM outbound trains to run to the San Bernardino Depot, the rest of the trains, including midday trains operated only to Rialto. Some trains originated and terminated at Montclair since sidings and signalling was still a work in progress between Pomona and Rialto.
Sometime in 1994 or 1995, the flyover was completed and all trains were extended to San Bernardino. During the Rialto only days, Metrolink equipment would layover on the siding west of the depot between CP Locust and CP Lilac (usually parking between Cactus Ave and Cedar Ave).
