The Royal Gorge is actually the "piano lounge" (John Lee Sauders maning the car), while the Overland Trail (which departed Oakland Monday for home base at LAUPT) is the dance car. The band, the Funactics claim that this 50 anniversary gig will be their last. Bill C., the band leader, has been with the Fun Train for 25 years (under several different companies). Speaking of the Overland Trail ... it is also a long serving member of the Fun Train, having started back in '63 and running into the 70s before being retired and then, being called up again 7 years ago to once again join the Fun Train as the dance car.
