Thanks, Howard, your replay.
I live on the Squirrel Hill/Shadyside border.
When I moved to Pittsburgh in 1989, the Post-Gazette was the morning paper and the Pittsburgh Press was the afternoon paper. There was a newspaper strike in 1992 and the Press folded.
The Tribune Review, originally from Greensburg, came expanded its operations and Pittsburgh remains one of the few metro areas with two daily papers. The Pittsburgh operations are based out of the former Clark Candy Building in the North Side (right along the Norfolk Southern Fort Wayne Line).
Dometimes, the Tribune-Review's articles are better than those in the Post-Gazette, but I despise the Tribune's editorial page.
In the 24 years of living here, I've seen lots of changes. Some have been for the worse, but most are for there better.
Hope you can come back here sometime for a visit.
