That's right. Data entry people. Who need to be able to read a map and follow digitizing instructions, and whose work can be corrected on short turnaround locally.

Thanks to budget cuts for the last 10 years, we ain't got no data entry people - it's other duties as required. Doesn't work. But if we develop a few such shops here it might start to work again. $11/hr isn't much but it isn't sweatshop/McDonalds either.

Would you rather that they send $11/hr (here) data entry jobs to India, for $11/week plus enough management cost to eat up most of the difference? Do you like contractor meetings at 3AM by phone/video because that's when they're in the office in India rather than normal work hours for people working here? It's not always best to send it offshore.
