I visited the Iowa Traction in 2002--absolutely incredible, worth driving hundreds of miles to see. They're quite receptive to railfans (or were--I hope nobody has messed it up for them since I was there), but ask that you come by the office and sign a release. They have four Baldwin-Westinghouse motors, ten miles of track, and (hopefully still) plenty of traffic.
