Perhaps that is why FEGUA-United Fruit did not buy the NdeM articulateds which were apparently offered to them ca. 1952? when the Vera Cruz and Acambaro lines were standard gauged.

The last 3 were only about 15 years old and good looking locos without the Elesco feedwater heater. All scrapped AFAIK.
