Motorcar Operators West – Redwoods to Coast Motorcar Excursion

Two days ago it looked like the May 4th and 5th motorcar excursion on the Santa Cruz Branch Rail Line was in jeopardy due to the trestle fire at MP 23.54, but a Phoenix has arisen from the ashes. Instead of setting on at Davenport and running to Watsonville and returning to Davenport, the motorcars will set on at Roaring Camp, travel to Watsonville and return to Roaring Camp. The excursion will include mountains, redwood forest, a tunnel, street running on Chestnut and Beach Streets, the Boardwalk, several trestles, the beach and Harkins Slough. It does not get any better than this. Looking forward to the event.
