The 40th Anniversary of the Roseville Railyard Explosion

This past Sunday, April 28, 2013 marked the 40th Annivbersary since the Saturday, April 28, 1973 Roseville Railyard Explosion as a Vietnam War Munitions shipment suddenly ignated and exploded.

And of course other actions were taken regarding this situation as Governor Ronald Reagan declared a State of Emergency and the State of California subsequently sued the Southern Pacific Railroad for damages related to this event.

And of course the Amtrak San Francisco Zephyr was rerouted via the Feather River Route for a five (5) day period during this event.

Does anyone recall specific activities that occured related to this event that might have actually observed it or have been a part of it?
