That film has been out there in the public domain for quite a while but this is the best cleaned up version I've seen. It was offered as a video back in 1989, when Eureka Southern ran a 75th Anniversary Special to Cain Rock, by a group called Bay Area Archive. The few minutes showing the actual Gold Spike ceremony was lost. 2014 marks 100 years.....guess there isn't going to be special marking the event closing the gap between Sherwood and Shively unless someone has some good ideas, or lot of cash????
