I did not find her words kind or compassionate. The poster asked a railroad question in a railroad forum. They are on topic, and they cared enough to ask. Moreover, it was hateful towards the railroads just because they are big enough to pay for the damage themselves. We have seen where a small(?) tornado derailed a moving train. This was no small tornado. What about the engineers, conductors, and other personel on and off duty? What is the policy for such an event? How is traffic flow through the area? While the railroads are big, businesses of all sizes depend on the railroads.
