Texas bridge fire closes shortline

The former Gulf, Colorado and Saba Railroad, now Heart of Texas Railroad, bridge over the Colorado River between San Saba and BNSF interchange at Lometa burned Sunday cutting off all customers in Brady that ship primarily frac sand. Cause of fire, condition of steel spans and fate of rail line coming out of bankruptcy with new owners not yet known.
