Good Bye Fillmore & Western lease cancels 12/1/13

Santa Clara River Valley Heritage Society posted on their Facebook page that the Ventura County Transportation Commission is terminating their lease with the Fillmore & Western RR effective December 1, 2013.

I guess the VCTC made up their mind as to what they are going to do.

I find it ironic that this happens after the F&W operation was featured in a recwnt issue of Trains magazine. The article put them on the map as a destination that will be gone before the end of the year.
