The first few miles out of the Santa Fe depot uses the Santa Fe Southern line, rebuilt from the ground up and controlled by Railrunner now. The two lines split south of downtown with the Santa Fe Southern heading south to the BNSF line at Lamy and the Railrunner only route following the I-25 median southwestern towards Alburqueque.
