I can't help but think of Jay and George Gould when I look at this map. Just connect some of the dots and they could cobble together a transcon, or at least a thru Pacific Coast route (see earlier thread on the Coast Line.)

More down to Earth, does anyone know if P&W and old CORP operations have in any way been integrated?
