Must be a tradition back in them thar parts. The diamond at Bixby, Ill, which was the crossing of the ex-Missouri Pacific Chester Sub (same as in today's incident) and the GM&O's Sparta District, which was their mainline south from East St. Louis and is long-abandoned, was directly under the old U.S. 50 overpass (now replaced by the I-270 overpass).
