From what this report indicates, imagine if You will that You are the Conductor and Engineer of the BNSF train. You have a proceed indication and have traveled this stretch of track many times. What is different this time is looking out of the windows and seeing headlights and ditch lights of a train coming at You that obviously is not slowing down. Get the picture? Imagine watching as Your lead locomotive passes and You know at the least You have just missed death by seconds. At 22 mph there isn't much time as the UP train plows only 12 cars behind where You are sitting. You just missed a brush with the grim reaper but what about the horror You are feeling watching that crew drive right into the side of Your train? You are on a different radio channel, You can not warn them. You look out the rear window of the cab and see all of this happening, and then the overpass falls apart. Incredible.
