Yes -- The RDC was made mostly of Stainless Steel, as were most RR cars from the Budd Company.
Some parts were made of steel, notably the pilots, draft gear and couplers, trucks, and grab-irons. The Detroit engines were of course made of cast iron. I don't recall how much aluminum was used in the RDC, maybe the seat and window frames ???
