For what it's worth, I have heard third hand that this car was sold but never paid for, and was in fact left behind. Strong suggestions are that it could be had for a song, but should be bought and moved fairly quickly. It is open to the vandals and elements. Any "Friends of the Montgomery Street" out there? This is a very rare car and still sits on it's original triple bolster trucks. The interior is rough but very restorable. So far as I know it would just need the usual work to move in freight.
